How the engagement works

Every engagement starts with a written assessment of your situation — at no charge. After the assessment, you receive a written fee proposal covering the scope of work, the timeline and any anticipated third-party costs (apostilles, sworn translations, government fees). If the proposal works for you, we sign a formal engagement agreement; if not, you walk away with no obligation.

Once engaged, we handle the file end-to-end: NIF and Portuguese bank account via power of attorney, document gathering and authentication, consulate submission, AIMA representation, residence card issuance, and renewal cycles. For citizenship cases we represent you before the Conservatória dos Registos Centrais through the full 18–36 month processing window.

Legal services are delivered by the Portuguese-licensed lawyer above, who maintains professional indemnity insurance and is subject to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the Portuguese Bar Association.

Fractio AB's role is operational — intake, documentary preparation, scheduling, communication. The lawyer-client relationship is between you and the lawyer once a formal engagement agreement is signed.
